As a Freelance Trail Guide, you’ll lead guided mountain bike eco-tours across Florida’s scenic trails and nature paths. Share your enthusiasm for outdoor adventure while ensuring our riders feel safe, confident, and well-guided. You’ll be part of a premium experience that balances fun, learning, and exploration — all while earning income on your own terms.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead small-group guided mountain bike tours with provided bikes and safety gear.
- Create a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere for riders of all experience levels.
- Represent HighendMTB.com with professionalism, passion, and a high standard of customer care.
Compensation & Options:
- Trail Guide: Earn 35% of final ride revenue + tips — all equipment provided.
- Marketing Consultant: Earn 15% of final voucher revenue + tips by driving bookings remotely.
- Guide + Marketing Consultant: Combine roles for 50% of final revenue + tips.

Trail Guide & Marketing Partner – FAQ
Do I need previous guiding or mountain biking experience?
No. Previous guiding or mountain biking experience is helpful but not required. HighendMTB.com provides training, ride guidelines, and ongoing support to help you feel confident leading beginner-friendly, family-oriented rides.
Is this a full-time job or part-time opportunity?
This is a freelance, independent contractor opportunity. You choose when and how often you work. Many guides treat this as a flexible side opportunity, while others grow it into a consistent income stream.
Where do the rides take place?
Rides take place at approved trail systems and outdoor locations in Florida, primarily in and around Tampa, St. Petersburg, Bradenton, Sarasota, and surrounding areas. Some locations may vary based on demand and availability.
What type of riders will I be guiding?
Most riders are beginners, families, couples, and casual outdoor enthusiasts, work parties, friend groups. These are relaxed, scenic eco-rides — not competitive or extreme mountain biking events.
Do I need to provide my own bike or equipment?
No. Bikes and basic safety equipment are provided for guided rides. You are welcome to use your own equipment if approved, but it is not required.
How does scheduling work?
You set your own availability. Rides are booked in advance through the HighendMTB.com website, and guides are notified of upcoming bookings based on availability and location.
How and when do I get paid?
Compensation is percentage-based and paid per completed ride or booking. Earnings depend on the role you choose:
- Trail Guide: 35% of final ride revenue + tips
- Marketing Partner: 15% of final voucher revenue + tips
- Combined Role: Up to 50% of final revenue + tips

Can I work remotely as a marketing partner only?
Yes. The marketing partner role can be done fully remotely, promoting HighendMTB.com experiences and earning commission on successful bookings.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No minimum number of rides or hours is required. You may accept as many or as few opportunities as you like.
Are tips allowed?
Yes. Tips are allowed and go directly to the guide or partner.
Do I need a background check or certifications?
Basic screening may be required for safety and professionalism. No special certifications are required, but candidates must be reliable, friendly, and comfortable working with the public.
